The Professional has a long history of development. Numerous Sunova crew have all played a role in refining the Professional into what it is today. The curves are blended to give a fast and responsive board. A tight outline through the tail, combined with a clean exit curve, allow deep and hard surfing in the pocket. The pulled-in tail gives a fast rail to rail transition when snapping under the lip on tight back foot turns. A well defined, tucked under, hard edge through the tail ensures maximum release but with control after the fins have busted to help avoid the tail catch that can happen when going slideways or backwards. Low rail volume and a subtle tucked leading edge translate into an extremely sensitive board that can have the rail buried deep and still power out every time. The Professional for when you have to put it all on the line. |

We want all our customers on the equipment that is perfect for them. To get the most from your surfing, it is very important that your equipment is matched to your body weight, surfing style, ability, and preferred wave type. Each location for surfing is different and some curves will work great in some waves and not in others. For that reason we have included our surfboard information to help you find a board that fits your unique needs. The Optimum Wave Types on this page describes the types of waves that each shortboard model is designed for. In addition, the Sunova Weight / Skill Chart will help you select the board that best suits your size and ability level. |
